Let’s explore some fascinating traits that make November babies truly unique!

1. Passionate and Intense (Scorpio Influence)

Babies born between November 1st and November 21st fall under the zodiac sign Scorpio. Known for their passion and intensity, Scorpios are deeply emotional and intuitive. November-born Scorpios often possess a strong will and are not afraid to pursue their desires. Their fierce loyalty to loved ones and their ability to empathise with others set them apart, making them compassionate and loving individuals. They are often seen as natural leaders who inspire those around them.

2. Adventurous and Optimistic (Sagittarius Influence)

For those born between November 22nd and November 30th, Sagittarius is their guiding zodiac sign. Sagittarians are known for their adventurous spirit and optimistic outlook on life. November babies with this influence tend to be curious and open-minded, always eager to explore new ideas and experiences. This adventurous nature often leads them to seek out opportunities and embrace change, making them adaptable and enthusiastic about life.

3. Birthstone: Topaz and Citrine

November babies are fortunate to have two beautiful birthstones: topaz and citrine. Topaz, with its rich hues ranging from golden yellow to deep blue, is a symbol of love and affection. It’s believed to bring strength and protection to those born in November. Citrine, on the other hand, is associated with joy, abundance, and positive energy. This vibrant gemstone is said to promote motivation and creativity, making it a wonderful symbol for November-born individuals. Together, these gemstones represent the warmth and vitality of autumn, enhancing the unique qualities of November babies.

4. Strong-willed and Determined

November babies often exhibit a remarkable sense of determination from an early age. Their strong personalities and resilience allow them to tackle challenges head-on. Whether they’re navigating through school or life’s obstacles, they tend to approach tasks with a focused mindset. This determination can inspire those around them and encourage their peers to strive for excellence.

November babies are often gifted with a creative spark. Their imaginations run wild, leading them to explore various forms of artistic expression, whether it be through art, writing, or music. This creativity can be traced back to their strong emotional connections, allowing them to channel their feelings into unique and beautiful creations. As parents, you might find yourself amazed by the imaginative projects your little November-born brings to life.

6. Deeply Empathetic

Those born in November tend to possess a deep sense of empathy, making them incredibly understanding and compassionate individuals. This trait allows them to connect with others on a profound level and often leads to strong friendships and relationships throughout their lives. November babies are usually seen as confidants among their peers, providing support and understanding whenever it’s needed.

7. Lovers of the Outdoors

November babies are often drawn to the beauty of nature, especially during the fall months. With the colourful foliage and cooler temperatures, they tend to enjoy outdoor activities, whether it’s hiking, playing in the leaves, or simply enjoying the crisp autumn air. This connection to nature often fosters a sense of appreciation for the world around them and can lead to a lifelong love of outdoor adventures.

Newborn sessions with siblings, especially toddlers, can be unpredictable.
Some days they are all in. Other days they aren’t. And that’s okay.

This big sister wasn’t very keen on being in the photos. So instead of forcing it, I gave her a different role.
She became my assistant.
She helped me photograph her baby brother and her parents.
Suddenly, she felt special. She was part of the process. And Mum still got the beautiful family photos she wanted.

I find that involving toddlers and giving them a job to do works magic.
It shifts their energy from resistance to collaboration.
Everyone feels seen. Everyone gets their moment.

This is what 15 years of experience looks like. Knowing when to adapt. Knowing how to make it work for every member of the family.

If you’re expecting a second baby and worried about how your toddler will handle a newborn session, don’t be.

We’ll find a way to include them that feels right for everyone.

Through motherhood, we go through job titles quicker than in an entire career

I personally went from
Mamma → Mummy → Mum → Vale…
and now I’m just Bruh or Buddy. 🙈

They grow up fast and one day they won’t even want to be in the photo!

So let’s make the most of these Mummy years!

This is what happens when you book a newborn session with me.

You come to my studio. Maybe you’re tired. Maybe you’re overwhelmed. Maybe you’re wondering if this is worth it. Maybe all of the above!

You arrive, I welcome you in, offer you tea, and we slow down.
I guide you gently through everything, so you can just be present with your baby.

I capture the tiny details. The yawns. The way your family looks at this new little person. The love that’s already there.

And then picture this! A few weeks later, something arrives at your door.

Not just digital files. Not just photos on a screen.

But a beautiful album, designed for you, ready to hold and show your child one day.

That’s the difference between a photo session and what I create.

It’s not just about capturing moments. It’s about preserving them in a way that lasts.

Your newborn days are fleeting.
But this? This stays forever.

Today is World Mental Health Day, and I want to say this gently: you don’t have to have it all together to be worthy of care, love, or rest.

Motherhood, creativity, business. They all carry invisible weights sometimes.
It’s okay to set them down for a moment.
It’s okay to just be.

There’s real courage in that stillness.

PS. If this resonates, you might find comfort in my book Milk Tales. A collection of stories about the emotional side of motherhood, and the courage it takes to be honest about how we really feel.
